Originally from San Diego, Andrea has lived in Montclair for nearly a decade. She has two incredible daughters who bring her a lot of joy and laughter.

Even as a child, Andrea was keenly aware of how space and surroundings impacted her overall well-being. Her genuine love of decluttering and organizing eventually gained her the honor of being the one that friends would call anytime they felt overwhelmed in their own space or were faced with a move.

When she founded Lighten Up, Andrea never set out to offer celebrity-style home edits. Instead she saw greater needs within the community that weren’t being filled:

• parents of young children who are at their wits’ end, who crave spaciousness and peace of mind for themselves and their families

• those who live independently but whose disabilities or injuries make decluttering, organizing or moving difficult

• elderly parents who need to move out of their home/downsize into a senior’s residence

• moments or spaces when life is changing fast or snowballing out of control, and a home/stuff transformation would make all the difference
